I'm working on a new book called "The Truck" and Other Twisted Tales. It will be out soon on Amazon.com. Meanwhile I have decided to publish some of the short stories from the book as Kindle books. The first one is already out and is titled "The Little Girl". Take a look. If you have a Kindle device you can download a preview (OK, a very short preview) of the story.

If you don't have a kindle you can download the reader for free at Amazon.com. Readers are available for different devices including your PC.

Check out the story here at amazon.com.

New books by Ron Chatham available at Amazon.com

OK, So I'm not much of a blogger. But I have been very busy. I have so much stuff out there on the net, it is hard to keep up with here. There are two things, though, that I feel compelled to share though. My two new books :D

Did he say BOOKS! I sure did. I have one titled One Day in Belfast which is a photo journal on a daytrip that I took in Belfast earlier on this year. The other one is a screenplay I wrote a couple of years back called Deadly Justice. Deadly Justice is the story of Hank Spade, an extra-governmental employee who does justice where conventional justice has failed.

Both books are now available on Amazon.com. At any rate, I thought I would just go ahead and list them here. I also have a book of short stories coming out soon so you might want to keep and eye out for that one too.

Picture Sale

I was just informed that I made a picture sale at Dreamstime. Not exactly raking-in-the-dough yet but it's a start. I finally have an address to give to people so they can see what pictures I have there it's www.Dreamstime.com/ronvid_info .

Before you ask me about the pictures, keep in mind that it is a stock picture site. So if you see a picture of wood, just accept it ... yes, it's wood. They like it and that's all that matters. I would put all of my travel pictures there but they are not going to pass the strict QA of Dreamstime (trust me I tried already).

Dreamstime only accepts high quality photos and will reject any pictures taken with a less-than-quality camera. All of my previous pictures, which were fine for my travel articles, are not up to snuff because the camera I used was not good enough. I found a stock picture site that actually listed the camera as unacceptable for submissions.

Fortunately my new camera is just awesome and I should not have any problems in the future with my travel photos. Look for new pictures of Canada soon. I will let you know.

OK, so what's up? Well, I have been investing a lot of time on my photography. Lately I have had 5 pictures accepted on a low end site and 8 on a high end stock photo site (and I'm really happy about that).

I have a lot of other pictures in review on the low end site but they should get in easily enough. I usually give them the pictures that were rejected from the high end sites but I have uploaded some really good pictures (so I don't feel bad about it).

Anyway, I now have two more websites, one is a personal site so I can post all of my articles in one place (last count 39 articles and 3 unaccounted for).

I have decided now to end my writing work day by writing here. I seem to have neglected my blog and it seems to be an important thing to have ... so, I'll try.

At any rate, here is one link to one of my photos on Dreamstime (the high end site). It's on of my favorite photos of mine. http://www.dreamstime.com/pelican-pose-image12690026 , I call it Pelican, basically because it's a -- pelican :D. I can hardly keep up, even with myself. I'm trying to keep this page updated with my published articles but I've been very busy writing that I'm behind.

The things you have to do now-a-days to survive as a writer on the net. Write, publish, promote, visit social sites, visit friends, keep up posting sites, blogs, join web social clubs ... its enough to drive someone crazy. Well, I'm trying.

So here's my latest article site http://www.examiner.com/x-32790-San-Diego-International-Travel-Examiner . Well, I'm back and in relatively good health. I just have a little cough. So, now what?

Well, so far today I have been rather busy. I wrote and published two articles; one on getting those hit songs out of your head and down on paper http://www.ehow.com/how_5724946_hit-out-head-down-paper.html ; the other is how to make a portable miso soup http://www.ehow.com/how_5725049_macrobiotic-_how-miso-soup-go.html . OK, far from award winning but hopefully will help pay the bills.

I also filled out an application to write for another online publication so I remain hopeful about that. I guess it's about "the-more-the-merrier" at this point. Sort of the shotgun approach to writing.

I still have some more things to do today so I will have to cut this short. I have to get a few photos taken and uploaded so my articles are more exciting. I also have an article to fininsh but I will probably do that tomorrow. I will keep you posted.

Still Sick

Well, as you can see, I have not written lately. The reason being is that I am still trying to shake off this cold I've had for a while. It's not that being sick keeps me from writing exactly but it does keep me from doing things interesting enough to write about.

So that's the reason. Not really a good excuse but it's my excuse. I am feeling somewhat better so maybe I will have something more interesting soon.

Swine Flu!

It just occured to me that I haven't posted anything today. I was recovering from the flu. It seems like I get the swine flu now about every month. I might be exagerating about the "swine flu" but you get the general idea.

Maybe it's not a full version of the swine flu but something more along the lines of a "piglett flu". I get really sick for about twelve hours and then it goes away. At any rate, it makes it hard to think of things to write and all I end up with is confused drivel (I'm sure you know what I mean).

So, here's my post for the day for better or worse. Maybe tomorrow I will be able to come up with something worth writing.

Thanksgiving 2009 - A play by play review of thanks.

Well' It's that time of year again where we are forced (forced, is that the right word?) to give thanks for all of the wonderful things in our lives. As much as my memory will allow I will try to give an account, month by month, of things I should be thankful for (I will try to keep the sarcasm to a dull roar.)

January -- Thanks for, once again, bringing my family into the new year safe and in good health and having lived a great year which we will call 2008.

February -- Thanks for whoever created this month and giving me the opportunity to look up its spelling every year. Thanks also for giving me the chance to forget Valentines day again. Thanks to Albertsons for always having the flowers and cards available when I do forget.

March -- Thanks to my company for not giving me a raise this year. It would only make me spoiled and cause me to go out and buy things I really didn't need. Oh yes, and thanks for letting me keep my job so I could appreciate not getting the raise (no really.)

April -- Thank you China for the wonderful trip and allowing me to learn Chinese rather than you accomodating mine. One of my fondest memories will always be walking into McDonalds in Beijing and saying "Qing gei wo yi-ge Hanbaobao" (please give me one hamburger). Thanks for understanding my bad Chinese accent.

May -- Thank you so much for giving me swine flu symptoms so that I could enjoy the fear along with the rest of the nation; but I am especially thankful that it was only just the flu.

June -- Thanks for giving me all of the wonderful memories but not "the memory" to remind me of what there was to be thankful about in June. I'm sure there was something though, and I will probably think of it long after this is published but ... Thanks anyway.

July -- I thank the city of New York for being so awesome even though it chose to rain on us a couple of times. I enjoyed walking down the streets of Brooklyn where my mother grew up as a child and taking the "A train" up to Harlem to see the old Apollo theatre (actually I took the C train to Harlem but I would have taken the A Train if I had thought about it.)

August -- I thank my body for constantly reminding me of the things I can't do with my health and for "telling on me" to my Doctor so she could make a list. I would also like to thank my cholesterol for cooperating at least a little and for it's support in the future.

September -- I thank the city of Seattle for giving us the one hot day that I hadn't anticipated (or I would have brought a hat). We understand that you must rain, it's in your nature. In a private family matter I am thankful for the relatively good news and thankful in advance for a good outcome in the future (this is to those who know what I am talking about.)

October -- I thank the month of October for always letting me know how old I'm getting and how lucky I am to be able to say that.

November -- Besides Thanksgiving, the Month of November brought us loads of stuff to be thankful for and by all rights I should start a separate list just for this month (but I won't). Thanks for all of the sunny days you could manage while we were in Italy even though we were sick by the time we got to Vienna. We were back on our feet though by the time we hit Munich though so all is forgiven. Thanks for getting us back home safely inspite of some misunderstandings about our flight schedule and Lufthansa's generous offer to help us out for a mere 8,000 euro (Yes, 8000 euro, around 12,000 dollars). We declined their kind offer but were fortunate, and thankful as well, that they could work it out after all for only around 500 dollars. Live and learn, right?

December -- I thank you in advance for all of the wonderful Christmas gifts from my friends and family ... oops ... I mean, thanks for all of my wonderful friends and family who I consider to be the best gifts anyone could ever have. Thanks and have a wonderful thanksgiving.

Well, Here I am ...

Well, I finally did it. I finally started a blog. I'm not going to lie to you either; I didn't start this blog because "all my friends told me I was such a great writer" or "I have something important to share with the world" No ... I did it because every body else in the freeking world has a blob except me.

So now what? As you can see I was not creative enough to make my own page layout. In fact, I really wasn't paying attention when I was selecting the design and clicked on continue thinking that there were more to choose from. So basically at this point in the writing I have no idea what the page even looks like. Stupid huh? Dosen't matter. I can change it later I guess. I just wanted to start this thing before I forgot about it and thus go about maybe another year blogless.

I guess I should continue this later since I happen to be at work and these people here expect me to do something (jerks). So, I will see you all later like you all could give a rats ass. I wish I had a better out then that but I don't so ... OUT!
